Sponsored by Nike Sportswear and the finest sneaker shops/clothing companies in the city, Sneak & Eat brings the sneaker community together for one amazing day. The all day event included free food and drinks, live art, sneaker vendors, clothing vendors, rap and dance battles, music performances and dope DJ’s spinning the entire event. It’s rare to see all of the pioneers in Chicago streetwear and the new up and coming in one building but there was nothing but respect in the air. Everyone showed love and there was strong sense of community which is always a beautiful thing. Shouts to everyone that stopped by the booth and showed some love! We look forward to next years event. All of Chicago’s heavy-hitters are bringing back Sneak & Eat – Chicago! You do not want to miss this event! Hosted by Dave Jeff of PHLI, the free event includes art exhibitions, DJs, live performances, a sneaker swap and raffles. PV will be there so you better be too!

On Saturday, July 25th, AKIN finally opened its doors to the Chicago public waiting to step foot into the city’s newest streetwear boutique. After months of hard work and preparation Potential Villain was lucky enough to officially debut our first t-shirt collection in the store along side other dope brands such as Nike Sportswear, Adidas, IM King, KIKS TYO and Wrongwroks. A large crowd of friends and family came out and showed their support for the brand new store. Mr. Neeks was on the decks playin ill joints throughout the day while the crowd enjoyed free ice cream and sushi while browsing the new space.

Nearly everyone participated in the raffles with prizes such as Cubs/Sox tickets, gift cards, CK AF1, OG Air Max 1 and the much anticipated crowd favorite, the Air Jordan Defining Moments Package (DMP). The fashion show previewed Nike Sportswear’s Spring 2010 collection that included tee’s, jackets, bags, and shoes which all seemed extremely promising. People filtered in and out throughout the day and lingered around until the store finally closed its doors for the day. The opening could not have been anymore successful and only marks the beginning of a new era in the Chicago streetwear scene. Peep the pictures below to see how it all went down.

Nike SB comes with a new commercial entitled “Today Was a Good Day” for the release of Paul Rodriguez’s third shoe. This video shows P. Rod doin what he does throughout LA with an appearance from Ice Cube, reminiscent of the movie Next Friday. Two Drops Celebrated.

Last Friday, Aficionado held down another dope double release party for the drop of the (Net/Net) Air Yeezy and Potential Villain’s first official t-shirt release, the “Angry Yeezy.” Props to Red Bull and Belvedere for once again sponsoring another dope event. Members and guests relaxed and conversed to the sounds of Mr. Neeks on the tables, bringin only the best in classic Hip Hop and R&B. Many picked up tees throughout the night while anticipating the midnight drop of the Yeezy’s. Props to Jason for winning the Yeezy raffle! Buying the PV “Angry Yeezy” tee for only $35, entered him in a raffle to win a free pair of the (Net/Net) Air Yeezy’s! Thanks to AFO, Belvedere, Mr. Neeks and all those who came through to mark another date in PV history! Peep the video and pictures below.

AFO Double Release Party!

Sponsored by Belvedere and Red Bull, Aficionado once again catered to members and friends for an incredible double release party. After the release date was pushed forward a week earlier, the much anticipated Air Jordan 5 “Raging Bull Pack” finally dropped to eager members at Aficionado. However, the Raging Bull Pack was not the only cause of excitement that night. Potential Villain, in collaboration with AFO, officially released their first T-shirt exclusively to members and guests! With only 72 pieces made, the “Angry Jordan” shirt came in two colorways, both inspired by the Raging Bull Pack.
